While I’m waiting for my photos and images to upload from my phone onto this blog, I’m also waiting to come up with a good enough opening for this post.
The waiting for that is over!
Because of my keen sense of mortality and belief that every day may be my last, I’m not a big fan of waiting. One might say that I’m waiting to become more patient and accepting of waiting.
Along with many other people I know, I’ve been waiting for the weekend and the end of the current heat wave.
I gave up waiting for the Halifax Fringe to respond to my proposal to do my “Group Therapy with Ann” show there this year, so I booked a trip with my son Aaron through the Canadian Rockies. Now I’m waiting to see Vancouver and many other beautiful sites in Canada for the first time. If I do get accepted to the Halifax Fringe, we’ll all be waiting for me to do my show there another year.
Do you see waiting in my images for today?

Here’s what I find when I search for “waiting” on YouTube.

If you would like to make a comment about this “waiting” post, what are you waiting for?
There’s no waiting for my thanks to YOU.

I love waiting in line, one of the odd people in the world, who do enjoy it. I don’t seek out the activity, but when it happens, I embrace it, and love bonding with my fellow waiters in the process. perhaps I should become a professional line-waiter for hire now that I’ve been retired for two weeks.
I love bonding with you, beth.
Waiting for things is always so hard! I am glad you are not waiting for too many things now Ann!
Thanks for sharing your empathy and thoughts about waiting, my friend.
I know you make the most of each day, Ann.
Yesterday, a crown I’ve had for 20 years came off a lower molar. The dentist’s office said the soonest they could get me in is Wednesday. I’m waiting for a fix that will allow my tongue to not rub up against that rough gap.
Waiting for dental fixes is something we all share, Mark, and thanks for all you share with us.
I’ve taken a cross-Canada train years ago when it was still possible to catch a north-bound train from Winnepeg to Churchill. You will love it anyway. As for waiting, I am probably one of the few who love waiting in the doc’s waiting room – always have a book. As a matter of fact, sometimes I will go early so I get a little more time of uninterrupted “waiting.” 🙂
I’m waiting to love the Canadian trip, Barbara!
I am lookong forward to seeing you and Aaron. Are you going to do the Vancouver French festival?
If you mean the Vancouver Fringe Festival, that’s in September. Maybe next year!
I’d been waiting for the weekend; it’s finally here. Now I can wait for your next blog post, and to hear about your trip through the Rockies.
You are always worth waiting for, Chris.
