Day 3988: The creative process

When I told my friend Carol yesterday that I was feeling insecure about my music, she said “That’s part of the creative process, isn’t it?” Carol’s helpful and normalizing response reminded me of a line from this book …

… which I can’t find in the 668 great pages I’ve read so far about Barbra Streisand’s creative process.

Do you see the creative process in my other images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “the creative process” on YouTube.

Thanks to all who experience the creative process, including YOU!

  1. for much of my life, people have come up to me to tell me that i remind them of babs. i sure wish i had her voice and can’t wait to read her book.

  2. Lots of special holiday songs performed by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra this time of year are high-spirited joyful, Ann. Also today, I think of 2000 Miles as done by the Pretenders.

  3. The creative process: I think mine is all in my fingers. I know the theme I want to write about today on my website, but it won’t be until I start typing that I will know if there is something there worth writing. The best things just seem to fall off the ends of my fingertips.

  4. Debbie Terman

I wonder how the cats react to your drumming.

  5. I feel very lucky that I knew a lot about Fanny Brice before I saw Funny Girl for the first time. It’s very powerful that Brice, like Streisand, made herself a leading lady, and Streisand really made the role her own. It looks like Joan is making herself a leading lady too.

  6. For.Chanukah I like the album by Stephen Colbert and John Stewart. For Christmas since childhood I have enjoyed this song, Huron Carol.

  7. PS. I like how you have creatively positioned a chair to catch the reflected light from the polished ceiling.

  8. The Creative Process is the way we use our God-given talents. Different for each of us. You certainly use yours to the max!!
