Day 3889: What does this mean?

Yesterday, on an Air Canada flight to Halifax, Nova Scotia, while looking at the airplane safety instructions, I asked several people, “What does this mean?”

My son Aaron, my sister-in-law Deborah, and I all tried to come up with possible answers to “What does this mean?” Luckily, whatever this means, we didn’t have to deal with it.

What does this mean that these are the rest of my images for today?

.

What does this mean that I’m writing this on Make Your Own Luck Day, Speak Kind Words Day, and Women’s Equality Day? And what does this mean that YouTube has this…

… and this?

What does this mean that I always end my blog posts with gratitude for all my readers, including YOU?

  1. with regard to the signs – ‘if you see fire or a satellite, don’t run. maybe walk?’

  2. It must be a good sign to arrive in Halifax, Canada, to a big photo of Boston hockey great Bobby Orr in his prime, Ann! Have fun helping Aaron settling in for his next chapter.

  3. Ann, the safety instruction info sheet on the plane is too funny! Did you ever find out what it means? I have flown with Air Canada quite a few times and I don’t remember seeing that sign even though I always read the instructions because I am a nervous flyer and it does seem very possible that the instructions will be needed. I would interpret it as “Do not open the emergency exit door if a Dalek has attacked it” or “…if It opens directly into a waste compacting system” but I may be wrong.

I have never heard of a hotel that delivers baby spinach!

I hope that you have a good visit to that maritime province.

  4. I couldn’t interpret the window signs too well – maybe fire on the wing? Maybe window dislocates and punches you in the eye? In any case, don’t run. Or if you do, don’t run out a door.

  5. I think that sign must mean “Keep watching the skies!” It’s also good to remember that meaning is in the eye of the beholder, and, for me, it’s been too long since I read Jung’s Modern Man In Search Of A Soul. A therapist once saw me reading it. She said, “Hey, I had to read that. Why are you?” I’m still not sure what she meant by that.
