Yesterday, I told my coach Jeff Leisawitz my fears about wrong notes.
When I was young, a singing teacher told me (1) if I sang a wrong note, that was all my audience would remember and (2) the only notes that were interesting in my voice were the very high notes I could sing (up to Bb over high C).
Jeff said that those notes my singing teacher gave me were wrong and he gave me an invitation to deliberately sing wrong notes in front of my husband Michael.
Do you see wrong notes in my images for today?

.
On True Love Forever Day, I’m going to hazard a guess that my husband Michael will still love me even if I sing some wrong notes.
Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for wrong notes.
.
Besides talking about wrong notes, Jeff and I discussed fantasy collaborators and Jacob Collier would definitely be one for me.
Feel free to leave notes about this wrong-notes post, below.
Thanks to all who help me hit the wrong notes and right notes, including YOU!

I’m a fan of wrong notes, as that’s where new music comes from
That is so right, beth!
I’ve been singing wrong notes my entire life without even trying. So few songs are written in my 3-note range. That’s a little joke. I actually think I can make it from middle C to G on a good day.
Thanks for writing this great note, Barbara.
You never hit a wrong note here in the blog.
Just out of curiosity and because you posted the photo, what’s going on with your ceiling?
The metal ceiling was painted over by the previous owners, unfortunately. It’s been peeling so Michael is trying to strip the paint off of it without harming the metal. A very big job which he recently started. Thanks for always hitting the kind notes, Maureen.
Oh, good luck to Michael! That sounds like super hard work but well worth it. I was afraid the ceiling had been damaged by a new bathroom plumbing disaster. 🫣
I can’t carry a tune in a bucket but I sing to myself and that’s good enough.
You are always good enough, my friend.
I am always thrilled, Ann, when I find myself in the middle of a crowd of voices of all sorts singing a favorite song together.
Thanks for hitting the right notes, Mark.
I love your relationship with music, PERIOD, Ann. No wrong notes! 🙂
I love all these supportive notes you leave me here, Debra!
