In an Iceland hotel, instead of demanding “Do Not Disturb,” one politely asks for “Peace & Quiet.”

I think we all deserve some Peace & Quiet these days, especially with all the noise in the news.
Do you see any Peace and/or Quiet in my other photos from yesterday?

I’m off for another day of Peace, Quiet, & Dramatic Scenery in Iceland.
Peace, Quiet, & Thanks to all who helped me create today’s blog post and — of course! — to you.
Another excellent gallery. Too much going on for peace and quiet 🙂
Another excellent comment, Derrick.
i love that approach. i’m all about peace and quiet.
I love your approach, Beth.
Jon Meacham’s latest book, The Soul of America: The Battle for Our Better Angels, helped me refocus on a positive outlook about the news. Well, not the news is positive, but the ultimate outcome will be, if historic patterns persist. At some point, the people will say “Enough!”
In the meantime, I continue to enough your Icelandic vacation! Thanks for the break from the news!
Your comment is giving me peace & quiet. Thank you!
Ahhhh, Ann. Horses, seaside, orange-covered riders. That pictures provides me peace and quiet right here in my house.
You, Mark, provide me peace and quiet right here in Iceland.
We all need more peace and quiet … time in nature … and laughter. Iceland has it all đź’•
You have it all, Val!
I never wondered about the origins of the word geyser before but after seeing it in one of your pictures I checked the OED and found that it originated in Iceland–one of many wonderful things that country has given us. And it literally means “gusher”. Needless to say I’m gushing about your pictures and adventures now.
This is one of the many wonderful comments you’ve given me, Chris.
WOW! My sister went to Iceland a few years ago and saw some of those things. Amazing place. She said it was cold though.
The pictures that struck me the most was the red roofed church…and the orange suited horse riders. And of course that waterfall!!
Thanks for this WOW comment, Dawn. The weather has actually been wonderful.
The world needs more fake gnus! (And I love your smile)
Peace to you, Maureen.
