Yesterday, I had an interesting discussion about essence with Newell, Lisa, and Michelle …
… showing their essences there, left to right.
Newell — who arranged last night’s reunion of people who worked together for years at a psychiatric day treatment program — broached the subject of essence almost immediately, which reflects the essence of Newell. Newell told us he essentially believes we all have an essence that never changes. I noted the essence of irony there, since our work focused on the essence of change. I also wondered whether our essence was immortal.
My essence loves the essences of the three people in that photo.
Earlier in the day, I experienced the essence of several things, at Whole Foods Market …
… my local Honda dealership …
… and a watch and clock shop.
I’m thinking that one of those clocks might have the perfect essence for my new office in Newton, Massachusetts. Which clock would your essence choose?
Finally, here’s the essence of Lisa’s adorable dog …
Bella.
What do you think is the essence of this post? Does “My Immortal” by Evanescence capture its essence?
Here and now, I’m happy to share the essence of my gratitude for Newell, Lisa, Michelle, music, animals, time, things that change and things that stay the same, and — of course! — you.

That is an interesting question. It would be fun to listening in your discussion about that. I think both you and Newell are correct.
I love the essence of YOU that you shared in this comment.
Evanescence essentially rocks!
Love your essence Ann 💛

The essence of your comment is awesome!
I love today’s topic Ann. “Essence” is indeed an alchemist’s concern, yet “an essence” is something I suppose may catch one’s attention at some point. It may do so either expectedly (because one feels it) or unexpectedly (it popped out all-of-a-sudden). The “unexpected” ones are perhaps the most interesting and the alchemist’s concern. I do believe humans are interconnected through their ‘essences’, yet how it happens is perhaps something people somehow know but cannot explain. My belief is that essences are perceived, not learned. Perceptions can be mistaken, yet only through them can one delve deeper into life. It is through our perceptions that essence is eventually found,
I love the way you interconnected all these essences here, Maria.
I don’t do conflict well I try not to do, the essence of a happy life is allowing one’s self to leave the past in the past and to allow ourselves to feel sad, happy, confused, and scared and to allow others to care and help us when we need help
I agree with the essence of everything you wrote here, Joanne. Many thanks.

Don’t be skared, Dennis! The essence of safety is here.

I love the way you show your essence in every comment.

My Immortal is one of my very favorite songs. 🙂
I’m so glad I included the essence of one of your favorite songs in this post, Lisa!
I am essentially drawn to the essence of this post. 😀
I am not surprised, considering the essence of your name!!
😀 I love your clock pictures, too. I grew up in a house with antique clocks when I was a girl. I loved all the chimes on the hour.
I love clocks and I love this comment!
LOL I just realized what a dork I am – “grew up [..] when I was a girl”?!? *facepalm* Thank you for appreciating my unintentional grammatical goofiness. 😀
I appreciate the essence of you, Vanessence, in many ways.
That was a sweet thing to say. Thank you. 🙂
