Day 1898: Second thought

My first thought right now is, “What should I write about today?”

My second thought is to share this conversation I had with a doctor at work yesterday:

Me:  Hi! What’s going on?

Doctor B: I’m trying to decide what to do.

Me:  About the snow storm tomorrow?

Doctor B: No.  About what I’m dealing with here.

Me:  I suggest going with your second thought.  That seems to be working for me these days.

Doctor B:  Good idea.

My first thought when I heard the predictions about today’s snow storm was to respond the way I usually do:  go into work despite the weather and somehow get home safely.  My second thought was to cancel all my patients and stay home today. And that’s what I’ve done.

What’s your first thought about this blog post so far?  What’s your second thought?

Any first or second thoughts about these photos, all taken at work yesterday?

Second Thought is “a channel devoted to the things in life worth thinking about” which has 519,303 subscribers, approximately 515,000 more followers than I have (but who’s counting?).

Your first thought might be, “How am I supposed to respond to this blog post?”  I suggest you go with your second thought.

My final thought is always gratitude, so thanks to all who helped me create today’s blog and — of course! — to you, second to none.
