Fear not! I shall immediately explain why this post is titled “Fear not!”
As I was fearing not anything at my weekly food shopping expedition with my boyfriend Michael yesterday, we saw this:

When I look at that, I fear not
- that Halloween candy showed up at the supermarket IN JULY,
- that it’s the same great taste,
- eggs of unusual color,
- words that rhyme with “creme,” and
- bunnies wearing hats.
What else do I fear not, here and now?
- Halloween 2016, since that’s the estimated day I’ll be returning to work after my open heart surgery on September 21.
- Singing a new song at an Open Mic in four days.
- Playing guitar for that new song, even though I have NO callouses on my fingers to protect me from screming from the pain of the guitar strings.
- My son Aaron attending the University of Edinburgh.
- Visiting Edinburgh in two weeks for two weeks of the Festival Fringe.
- Hard work.
- Fun.
- Cats.
- Stuffed animals.
- Change.
- Going barefoot or wearing socks.
- Unsalted snacks.
- The weather, as long as I’m wearing the right clothes.
- Other people’s opinions, even if they differ from mine.
- My neighbors.
- Simplicity.
- Complexity.
- Silliness.
- Seriousness.
- Newspapers.
- Magazines.
- Sports heroes.
- The different days of the week.
- Chocolate.
- Pasta.
- Love.
- Birthdays.
- Foods I can’t identify.
- Green leafy vegetables (although I’m going to have to monitor my intake of them, especially, once I’m on Coumadin after my surgery)
- Any comments I might receive from my readers.
- My other photos from yesterday.

That baby is the guitar I’ll be playing with uncalloused fingers on Friday. Fear not! Here‘s the song I’ll be singing (several keys higher):
Fear not! I shall remember to thank Liz Callaway, the musical The Robber Bridegroom, Star Market, all the others who helped me create this fearless post, and you — of course! — for reading it.
