I grew up in a cleaner house than most, because my mother was very clean and neat.
Our house is usually cleaner, but because our cat Oscar is in the final stages of his life, it’s more of a challenge these days to keep a cleaner house.
Here’s what today’s Daily Bitch Calendar has to say about a cleaner house:

Here are some recent cleaner family photos from our house:

I’d rather have our sweet kitty Oscar than a cleaner house.
Here‘s Graham Nash recently performing “Our House,” “Four and Twenty”, and “Teach Your Children” from his cleaner house:
I look forward to comments from your house and here’s gratitude coming at you from our house.

I’m so glad to see Oscar giving and getting so much love, Ann.
Thanks, my giving and loving friend. <3
So poignant
I so appreciate you, Derrick. <3
Thanks very much, Ann X
These are difficult days in so many ways. Glad you’re managing as best you can. Stay strong and healthy. ❤️
Thank you, Sandra. <3
Oscar était si beau et avait un air si doux. Je ne savais pas qu’il était malade. C’est une période douloureuse. Je suis triste pour vous tous.
In our house, we love your comment, Magali. Here’s how it translated into English:
Oscar was so handsome and looked so sweet. I didn’t know he was sick. It’s a painful time. I am sad for all of you.
Thanks from our house to your house. <3
my house is not dirty, but some would call it messy, I call it lived in and loved in. when I have company coming, I make sure it is really clean and less messy but still loved in and lived in. I think that’s how Oscar is right now in your house.
That’s how I lived before I met Michael, beth. Thanks for making the blogging world lived in and loved in. <3
Sending you much love and hugs from my house to yours. My thoughts are with you and family during this precious time with Oscar.( ◜◒◝ )♡♡♡♡♡
Love and hugs from our house to yours, my friend! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Oh, Ann, I love looking out your windows-what a beautiful view! I agree with you, Oscar is more important than a cleaner house- although your house is immaculate . The older I get, the more I dread washing the floors because it doesn’t take much for a dangerous slip and fall. It seems harder to get medical attention with this Covid era- so be careful.
As always, I appreciate your observations. Many thanks! <3
It’s true. My house would be cleaner without a family. I hope Oscar is coping and healing, Ann.
Thanks, Gigi, for helping me cope and heal. <3
My pleasure!
One of my seventh grade teachers had a poster in his classroom that said, “A clean desk is a sign of a sick mind.” After all these years I’m still not sure what that means. Each day after school I’d watch The Odd Couple and think that neither Felix nor Oscar had a sick mind; each was simply extreme in his own way. Sometimes life is messy. Sometimes we have to clean, and sometimes we have to let it be.
I think your words are signs of healthy mind, Chris. <3 <3
I am not a stickler for cleanliness and we do ok when it comes to our house except for my kid who is three. He has a penchant for drawing on walls. Enjoyed your post. Thanks and much appreciated for sharing
Many thanks for sharing this comment! <3
I live in a home not a house, as I was raised in a home not a house, well that is how my pop would describe my parents house he would say that his daughters had houses not homes. A home is a bit messy and has a lived in feeling to it.
I appreciate how you live, Jo-Anne. <3
That photo of Oscar in front of the Coping and Healing sign! ((((Hug))))
Hugs back at you, Maureen, from all of us! <3 <3 <3 <3
My house was a lot cleaner before we got a puppy–now, there are toys everywhere, but I don’t mind. Sweet Oscar–give him a hug for me.
