How to decide how to start this post?
HOW TO DECIDE
- Explore all your options.
- Look at the pros and cons of all your different options.
- Listen to others who have relevant wisdom.
- Trust your gut.
- Be logical.
- Follow your heart.
- Look for signs from the universe.
- Pay attention to your dreams.
- Flip a coin and see whether you want to flip it again.
- Check your comfort level at each stage of the process.
- Realize that even a “wrong” decision is not the end of the world.
How do you decide?
How to decide which photos from yesterday I should include here?

How to decide whether to give peas and/or peace a chance?
How to decide which music to share?
Here‘s a song about how to decide from Into the Woods:
How to decide how to thank all who helped me create todays’ post and — of course! — YOU?

Flipping a coin and doing it again sounds like a way to go Ann! Have a great day
I now decide that this is a great first comment, Lisa!
Love give peas a chance and all that gratitude but I’ve decided I’ll pass on eating the wonderfully packaged but wholly unappetizing (to me) blue cotton candy ice cream.
I decided to take a picture of that when I was at the supermarket, reading Derrick’s post about blue ice cream (https://derrickjknight.com/2017/03/25/blue-ice-cream/) . As usual, Ruth, I appreciate your decisions.
Wonderful photos! You see the coolest things, and I thank you for sharing them. When a client is faced with making a decision, I have a neat way of handling it. I write for them, with their responses, the pros and cons of saying yes to the option and another one for the pros and cons for saying no. Believe it or not, they aren’t exactly the same. Then I ask them to weigh each answer on a scale of 1 to 10 of importance to them. I total up each list, ending up with four. Now they can see how they really feel about it all. I photocopy the page(s) and give to them to take home. People like it. Maybe it will help you!
I’m glad you decided to write what you wrote, Sunny.
lovely photos!!
I’m deciding that yours is a lovely comment!
These are wise and centering words. I think that it is true that in most cases if you make a wrong decision it’s not the end of the world. Even some very big decisions, like marrying or buying a house or moving to another country. But there are times when it is and I have unfortunately made a couple of those kinds of wrong decisions. So, then you get to explore something else, not your options, but the meaning and geography of your altered world and who you are and what you can still do. There is tremendous growth and humility in that.
Thanks for deciding to share this wise and centering comment, Maureen. <3
I decide that you have one busy weekend, Ann Koplow. Peas, out.
I’m glad we decided to meet, Mark. Peace and peas to you, always.
I have found that being logical, and following my heart, often conflict with one another. 😉 But never when I’m here.
I decisively love your logic and your heart, Colleen.
Making decision can be very very hard. I like to be able to do the first 3 bullets and the 5th bullets but often times old habit kicks in go with the 4th and the 6th which normally end up wrong. Please have a great Sunday.
I decided to have a great Sunday and I hope you did, too!
The simplicity / spirit / wisdom collage looks positively delightful, I have decided.
I decided the same, Alice, and I am also deciding that your comment is positive and delightful.
You want the truth? Honest? Gut
A long time ago I decided that I wanted the truth, Derrick. Thanks for the gutsy comment.
How do I decide what part of this to respond to? Sometimes not making a decision is itself a decision, but I think I’ll be like the water: pour it into a bottle and it becomes the water.
At least that’s what Bruce told me.
I’ve decided that you and Bruce are decisively wonderful, Chris.
I generally trust my instinct and gut and do what feels right, I don’t make snap decisions but I also don’t spend a lot of time thinking about stuff
I trust your decisions, Joanne, including how you comment.
I think things through, but if I can’t decide, I go with my gut. I really like that the bulldog’s chair has that nice bone pattern.
I really like your decisions and your comments.
You decided on wonderful and very appealing, interesting photos, Ann. But do you have a little more information on that age-defying face mask? I’m not asking for myself, of course…. 🙂
I decided to take that photo without getting any more information, Debra. I’m deciding that you and I are both defying our ages without the need for face masks. Thank you for your wonderful, very appealing, and interesting comment.
