What I don’t want to do today includes:
- Re-checking my INR, which was very high after my trip to Italy,
- Giving a presentation about my groups at 9 AM, and
- Looking at the news.
What I DO want to do today includes:
- Facilitating a group at 11:30 AM,
- Being with creatures I love, and
- Blogging.
.
What I don’t want to do today also includes overthinking anything, including the images I have to share with you, here and now.

.
What I don’t want to do today is focus too much on soulless, narcissistic, and greedy people who keep wanting more and more as they damage our world.
This is the first thing that comes up on YouTube when I search for “what I don’t want to do today.”

Thanks to my friend Debbie (who sent me the cat texts cartoon), cats, my husband Michael for the delicious salad (I gained a lot of weight in Italy!), my friends on Twitter, everybody who is huggable, Bruno Mars, and — of course! — YOU.
I do want to wish my daughter happy birthday today, Ann.
happy birthday, to e!
Happy birthday to your daughter, Mark!
life is short, enjoy every minute.
I’m with you, beth.
Every Friday, well, most every Friday, is grocery shopping day at my house, and every Friday I don’t want to interrupt my day by getting dressed and going shopping. I do tell myself I will be so happy when I don’t have to go out again until next week, but that doesn’t seem to make me any happier to actually go. I don’t actually mind *being* there. It’s just the having to *go* there that I don’t want to do.
You’re not alone, Barbara.
A girl I only knew because she was a friend’s roommate once asked me if I gave good hugs. I said I didn’t know but if she wanted I’d try. Then I hugged her and she said, “You do!” I think it was because I understood that, intimate as a hug may be, it’s just a hug. It was an act of comfort and compassion, nothing more. Also I wanted to be thought of as someone who gave good hugs.
You always provide comfort and compassion, my friend.
