Yesterday, I did a mindfulness exercise where I invited people to focus on what makes them happy. Because our minds can automatically focus on what’s wrong or dangerous, it often takes effort and practice to think about what makes us happy (especially during unhappy times like these).

I was thinking as I scrolled through your pictures that there is not one of them that can ever be made illegal, unless we go full Handmaid’s Tale. Our pets, hand painted signs, a reminder of Joy on a door. How is anyone ever going to prevent a magnolia from breaking into bloom?
