Day 4811: You’re not alone

“You’re not alone” is something I say and learn in my therapy groups all the time.

“You’re not alone” is something I say to myself when I’m scared, sad, angry, or convinced that I am alone.

Do you see any evidence that you’re not alone in my images for today?

.

Here’s a song I wrote that includes the lyrics “you’re not alone.”

.

Thanks to all who help me remember that I’m not alone, including YOU!

Day 4081: Permission

I think we should give ourselves permission to feel all our feelings, to make mistakes, to be kind to ourselves and others, to be uncomfortable, to accept everything (including compliments), to face the unknown, to risk rejection, and to be our authentic selves.

Nobody gave me permission to write these words or capture these images, but I’m doing it anyway.

I don’t know who gave permission for all those different holidays and observances for March 5, but I’m going to give myself permission to vote for Joe Biden today.

Yesterday, I gave myself permission to start writing another song.

Here’s what I find when I look for permission on YouTube.

Thanks to all who have given themselves permission to read this blog post, including YOU!
