There’s no lack of news these days and it occurs to me that “no news is good news” could also mean that no good news can be found.

What news be found in my images for today?

Thanks to Pops Staples, Siskel & Ebert, Erasmus, William Carlos Williams, my friends on Twitter, cool cats everywhere, the Daily Bitch, my husband for his amazing culinary creations, and people whose presence is always good news, including YOU!

  1. I don’t want to get started on my viewpoint about No News, Ann.

Erasmus – I like to think of him as an old friend – I once did a term paper on him. As for good stuff to read now, I just started an older one of Erik Larson’s, “Thunderstruck,” about Marconi and the invention of the wireless, with the English murderer Crippen thrown in for good measure. Larson, you might remember, wrote “Murder in the White City.” It’s all nonfiction. And I disagree that “no news is good news.” For me, no news means irritating anxiety until I find out what’s going on! 🙂

  3. watching the Big Bear Eagle cam. Two baby Eagles have hatched and the third egg hopefully will hatch soon.

  4. I love to share good news!

  5. When I was a kid I loved a TV show called “The Great Space Coaster”. It had a newscaster named Gary Gnu. He pronounced the “g” and would end his segments by saying “No g-news is good g-news with Gary Gnu!” I thought he was funny and always looked forward to him because he did have good g-news. I think there’s still some out there too.
