Day 3944: Conflict Resolutiom

In the news, I’m seeing conflict, conflict everywhere and not much conflict resolution.

Do you see conflict resolution in my images for today?

.

Is the Daily Bitch conflicted about getting old? My resolution about that conflict is to embrace every day and to let go of fear as we grow older together.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for conflict resolution.

.

In that Ted Talk, Karleen Savage shares many practical, simple, and helpful ideas about conflict resolution.

Thanks to all who strive for conflict resolution, including YOU.

  1. everything I learn in this realm, I learn from the 3 year olds. it’s good to take turns, be kind, share, to laugh together, to give hugs if wanted, and ask someone to play.

  2. I see too much intention of imposing of will and too little thought of resolution these days, Ann.

  3. As long as the “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth” mentality exists in some circles, there never will be peace. “Pray for your enemies; love your enemies as yourself’ is the new way, but it was spoken by a wise man two thousand years of conflict ago. The blame game is stupid when neither side is pure of fault.

    • I appreciate your thoughts about conflict resolution, Doug.

      • I’m sick of it, Ann. I’m for reparations, too, for Palestinians bumped off land and out of homes, since that is a sticking point, one that can’t be handled by giving all back to them and still having an Israeli state.

  4. When I sense a conflict, I’m usually quiet about it – a skill I’ve learned only in the last 10 years or so. It works so much better than the feeling that I that must either convince them that I have the better argument or that I must have the last word on the subject. That entire phrase, “conflict resolution,” was something of which I remained entirely ignorant for most of my life.
