Lately, I’ve been stepping outside my comfort zone — taking Eleanor Roosevelt’s advice to do something that scares me every day.

.
Yesterday, Joan the cat was stepping outside her comfort zone while walking further down our street than ever before.

.
Soon after stepping outside her comfort zone, Joan hurried back to the safety of familiar territory.

.
Will we be stepping outside your comfort zone in my other images for today?

.
Making new friends while dressing like a dork might be a great example of stepping outside your comfort zone (not to mention evaluating your life).
Here’s “stepping outside your comfort zone” on YouTube:

Thanks to all who help me step out of my comfort zone, including YOU!

I love the idea that a doctor prescribed a cat for the woman who was sad. I hope she was soon feline better.
I’m feline better now, Maureen, thanks to your comforting comment.
Any time I entered a room full of people I did not know, I was outside my comfort zone. Still would be, if it came up again. I never did learn how to handle it well and ended up avoiding those situations when sometimes I probably shouldn’t have. Ergo, internet! Thank you, Ann. 🙂
Thanks for helping this zone be more comfortable, Barbara.
I think you’d enjoy these guys … https://yestheory.com/ …. their whole concept is stepping outside your comfort zone and “seeking discomfort”
Thank you, Laura! 💕
I love the cat prescription
I love that you love that, beth.
I find it remarkable that Joan steps outside her comfort zone. I assume she’s very brave, like most cats, with a comfort zone that, most of the time, extends outward to infinity. But I also looked at one of those pictures and wondered, is that a dollar or other denomination in the street next to Joan? These days using cash is outside many people’s comfort zone.
That was a 20-dollar bill, Chris, and it was outside my comfort zone to pick it up and take it. Thanks for being a brave cat, like Joan.
I do feel better when I see cat Ava on a visit to daughter Elisabeth and George Three’s house, Ann.
I do feel better when I see a comment from you, my friend.
Getting a cat……..Best idea that I acted on in 2017. Which also prompted me to move out of my comfort zone and move from where I was for 21 years. What a catalyst…..
Thanks for helping create more comfort zones for me, Barbara!
I like “feline better”. Perhaps a cat is a tonic for the catatonic, a meow for “It hurts me- Owww!”.
