Day 3857: The value of a moment

In mindfulness exercises, I invite members of my Coping and Healing groups to appreciate the value of a moment.

I value the moment when I saw this yesterday in the hospital gift shop:

.

I especially value that today because Twitter — where I’ve spent many wonderful moments connecting with thousands of terrific people — is becoming a memory.

Can you see the value of a moment in my other images for today?

.

I’m case you haven’t noticed, I DO Give A F about the value of a moment.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “the value of a moment.”

.

Thanks to all who help me appreciate the value of a moment, including YOU.

  1. A rule of life I think of repeatedly these days, Ann: Just because you can change something doesn’t mean you should.

  2. Moments are like rivers-you’re never in the same one twice. So: my son and my daughter (visiting from Seattle), talking together in the living room. Standing in front of Giotto frescoes in Assissi thinking of the people who were the first to see them. Stopping in the middle of a B road in England, thinking, “My god, I’m in Hobbiton!”

Fun old jokes. Thanks for the laughs.

  4. I think there’s so much value in what you’ve shared here, and we could all benefit from really taking notice of the value in each moment. Life is short. I did laugh at the notice to dog walkers and the mention that there are cameras apparently tracking infractions of the rules. Seems like a lot of threat over not much. 🙂
