Lately, with the help of the book The Inner Gsme of Music, I’ve been paying attention to what’s happening in the moment when I’m performing, rather than trying too hard or judging what’s wrong.
I’ve also been paying attention to applying those principals to life in general.
Last night, I was paying attention to guitarist Pat Metheny in concert and, as usual, he was wonderful.
Soon, I’ll be paying attention to my patients at the hospital.
It’s time to be paying attention to my images for today!
I’ve been trying to expand my happy places, so that I feel happy and relaxed in places that usually make me nervous (like heights and performance stages).
I’m happy to be listening to this book, which I hope will expand my happy places when I perform my music.
.
The Inner Game method helps people increase their happy places by letting go of self consciousness and negative self talk while paying close, non-judgmental attention to performance in the moment.
Before I discovered the happy places of the inner game method this morning, I asked a question about happy places on social media last night.
.
Right here, right now, what happy places do you see in my other images I am happy to share?
.
Here’s what I find when I search for “happy places” on YouTube.
.
What are your happy places?
Thanks to all who make this blog one of my happy places, including YOU!
I’m feeling a little trashed today because of lack of sleep.
I also discovered that one of my posts of this daily blog — which I wrote on May 23, 2023 got accidentally trashed. It looks like it was permanently trashed but it actually exists on my phone in a “cached” version but I am too trashed to understand or explain what that means.
When I am less trashed, I will try to recover that post and restore it to its rightful place in my unbroken streak of daily posting.
Thankfully, I am not too trashed to share my images for today.
It seems like I’m always getting messages telling me that time’s running out. Maybe that’s because “time’s running out” is a standard marketing tool to inspire action.
Because we’re all mortal, yes, time’s running out. At the same time, it helps to hold the opposite thought that I have all the time I need.
Yesterday, at my cardiology appointment, I heard that time’s running out on my current pacemaker (it should last another six years). However, I didn’t hear any scary messages about how time’s running out for my very unusual heart.
Here and now, time’s running out for me to put this blog post together before I start my longest work day of the week.
Time’s running out to forward that email to 10 people!
Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “time’s running out.”
.
Time’s running out for me to tell you how grateful I am for YOU!
Lately, I’ve been trying to correct the mistakes WordPress has made keeping track of my unbroken streak of consecutive days of blogging since January 1 2013.
Because of WordPress counter mistakes that number is way too low: it should be in the 5000s.
In the course of correcting those streak-counting mistakes, I discovered yesterday that I have made mistakes since April 2023 keeping track of the correct numbers in my blog post titles. I am correcting those mistakes today by using Day 5014 in today’s title, even though yesterday’s title is Day 5012.
I don’t plan to correct all the mistakes in the title numbers between April 2023 and now, so I hope you can forgive my many numbering mistakes.
Over the years, I’ve made the mistake of catastrophizing the results of my mistakes and others’. Here and now, I’m realizing that most mistakes are survivable. Make no mistake, I’ve lived a long and productive life despite all the mistakes I’ve made and witnessed.
What mistakes do you see in today’s blog post?
AI makes many mistakes, but I believe it is correct here. I made the mistake of signing up for this Road Scholar solo trip to Peru, which would have been too strenuous for meAlthough my very unusual heart has two major structural mistakes, they kind of cancel each other out. While I was away on my recent trip to Switzerland, my husband Michael made the mistake of allowing Joan to escape outside at night and then couldn’t find her. She showed up, safe and sound, but he hid this mistake from me until I got home. I try not to make mistakes keeping my vitamin K consumption consistent from day to day. I didn’t make the mistake of falling for this scam, which appeared in my calendar when I was away in Switzerland . I’m not going to make the mistake of captioning all the images in today’s post.
.
Here’s what I find when I search for mistakes on YouTube:
I, like many others, have been overthinking the past and the future. I reduce this overthinking by staying in the current moment.
Overthinking also reflects fears about making the wrong decision. I do less overthinking when I trust my capacity for decision-making and realize that my “wrong” decisions are almost always reparable.
I won’t be overthinking the images I choose to share with you today.
I’m not overthinking the challenge of finding a list of the daily observations/holidays/celebrations that fit on one page.
Here’s what I find when I look for overthinking on YouTube.
.
I won’t be overthinking which video about overthinking I chose to share with you.
Thanks to all who are here for this overthinking post, including YOU!
