Day 4906: Outlandish

When I used the word “outlandish” last night, some people seemed to assume a negative connotation for that word.

Maybe this is outlandish, but I don’t think that being outlandish is negative, just remarkable. Although I’m sure that outlandish behavior can be both good and bad.

Do you see anything outlandish in my images for today?

.

Here’s my most outlandish original song and I still haven’t figured out how to release it:

.

I have outlandish gratitude for all who here for my outlandish posts, including YOU!

Many people might want to call the First Felon’s desecration of the White House and surrounds “outlandish.” But I never would, because I consider outlandish to be a good thing.

  2. lots of negative and outlandish things going on in political world right now

  3. In the tales of Paul Bunyan there’s a detail that lumberjacks often treated their bedbugs as pets. I consider that pretty outlandish but I leave it to you to say whether the sense is positive or negative.

  4. I love your outlandish song Anne! 😀

The word “outlandish” does have somewhat of a negative connotation in my mind, and some of the words in its definition support that, such as “beyond reasonable limits” (and therefore unreasonable) and “ridiculous” (deserving of ridicule). It’s so interesting how words can take on subtle meanings in one’s mind, beyond what definitions actually say.
