Please forgive me for any mistakes I make here, as I try to forgive myself for the mistakes I am inevitably making while I navigate this complicated world.
I believe forgiving mistakes is imperative for us to remain present and committed to growth and connection.
While I was forgiving my own and others’ mistakes at an intensive group training yesterday, I had time to capture these images.

I am forgiving mistakes I made while performing the song I wrote with my friend and fellow social worker Nat Shirley — “Nobody’s Perfect.”

Thanks to all who are forgiving mistakes, including YOU.

I think that forgiveness is one of the highest virtues we can achieve in life. It’s amazing to me how much pain and general ill-feeling is relieved by the simple act of forgiveness. I also suspect that it is also, for so many, the most difficult. Turning the other cheek can seem like cowardice. Giving a thief more than what they have already taken like co-dependence. I have held grievances far too long. Letting them go has been an act of freedom. As has been forgiving a large debt when I moved away from all possibility of collecting.
Thanks for giving us your great comments, Barbara.
“Find a new gret” is a wonderful phrase. I plan to write it down. And, while it’s a very small thing, I try to forgive myself for not writing down all the things I mean to write down. The guilt I feel over that is far out of proportion to its importance.
I am glad you are as forgiving as you are, my friend.
Forgiving is a great thing, Ann.
It is great, my good friend.
