Day 3994: Personal growth

Every daily blog post I’ve published over the last 11 years has included the tag “personal growth,” so why should this one be any different?

.

Last night I experienced personal growth by exploring the unknown at an Open Mic, where I debuted my latest original song, “It’s Hard to Get Shit Done When You’re Scared Shitless.”

My personal growth includes learning to play drums for my upcoming concert/live album recording on June 1.

Do you see personal growth in my other images for today?

.

Personal growth, á la The Daily Bitch.

Thanks to all who join me in personal growth, including YOU!

  1. I have reached the age where I am always glad to arrive at tomorrow, Ann.

  2. Loved your open mic. You pulled it off with humor and aplomb. And I think I’ve done all the personal growing I can do, thanks ever so. I’m tall, so I can carry the extra growth better than I thought I could. OHHHH…. You mean THAT kind of growth. I’m sure there is a little more I can do there, and I count on my beloved son to point out the ways. 🙂

  3. Always learning new things is a key to personal growth so I’m excited to see how you progress with the drums. I was also recently reminded of this Steven Wright joke: “I went to a restaurant that serves ‘breakfast at any time’. So I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance.”

  4. I love your open mic courage! You are amazing, and a great song, Ann! You do put yourself out there and you don’t shy away from pushing yourself. That’s personal growth!
