Day 3962: Morning Mix

If you’re exhausted by the news (as I am), perhaps you’ll enjoy this Morning Mix from The Washington Post.

.

For those of you who think cats are aloof, here’s another paragraph from the Morning Mix article:

.

As I wonder “more articulate and affectionate than previously thought by WHOM?”, are you ready for a morning mix of my images from yesterday?

.

I always appreciate what the Daily Bitch adds to my morning mix.

Here’s a great song with saxophone to add to your morning mix:

.

Thanks to affectionate and articulate cats of all kinds, Johnny Hartman, John Coltrane, and people who read my morning mix, including YOU!

  1. Your affections with Joan today remind me how our dearly beloved Puffy used to perch behind me on the recliner to use her paws, a bit of moisture and cat judgment to carefully style my hair as she saw fit for that day.

  2. Cats never hide their feelings, including when they need some time alone

  3. Glenn Frey’s “The Heat Is On” was used in a commercial for Star Trek on a local UHF station when I was in high school. It’s a funny thing that any time I see Kirk, Spock, and McCoy together that driving saxophone comes to mind.

  4. I very much enjoyed that article about cats. I read it earlier today so I think you must have put it out on Facebook or Twitter. I am not surprised that cats have hundreds of expressions, but I am surprised to find that people don’t think that cats are expressive. They’re very expressive and I find that different cats have different expressions. Well, I really love cats and I especially love how communicative they are.

I also love John Coltrane! This must be the Year of Living Non-Judgmentally blog’s “Stuff Maureen Loves” day.
