Day 4856: Where would you go?

If you could go anywhere, where would you go?

Today, I’m going to Logan Airport to fly to Barcelona with friends. I hope you’ll go there with me via this blog.

While you’re thinking about where you would go, here are my images for today.

Yesterday I went to Rubato and reconnected with Top Chef contestant Laurence Louie!

.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I go there to search for “where would you go?”

.

Thanks to all who go where they would go, including YOU!

I’m lucky enough that I’ve already been to so many places that I’ve always longed to see. Two driving trips around England and Scotland, one of which inspired my second novel, “Ghosts of the Heart.” And another trip which encompassed Turkey, Greece, Italy, and France, where I got to visit Ephesus, Delphi, Venice, Chartres, and so much more. There may be more places I would have liked to go (Petra), but now I can remember standing in a few of my favorite places and feeling so grateful to be there: The Acropolis! Troy! St. Peter’s! The Louvre! Edinburgh! Westminster Abbey! The Orkneys! Glastonbury Tor!

    No regrets.

    • Greece is on my list and I think I’m going back to Venice on my next trip, which I hope to do on my own. I have wonderful memories of England, Scotland, Paris, and Chartres. I’m so glad you have no regrets!

  3. Have a great trip!

You asked where I would fly. If I could fly anywhere in the world tomorrow. I would stay home. I don’t like to fly! But if I was *forced* to fly somewhere then I would go to London and tour Great Britain and Ireland on train and by foot, or I would fly to Japan and visit my daughter-in-law’s family in Akita Prefecture.

    • I don’t really like to fly either but there are so many places I’d like to see. And I always love seeing you, Maureen.

  4. Guy Incognito had an interesting idea of sailing between Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, and New Zealand. A librarian I worked with told me a lot of small Pacific islands have, or had, their own periodicals and other publications and that it might be possible to make a living sailing around collecting them for libraries that specialize in Pacific studies.
Of course Spain is nice too and I hope you enjoy it.
