There is a story in the current edition of Atlantic Magazine titled “Why Can’t Americans Sleep?”
Isn’t the answer to “Why can’t Americans sleep?” obvious? Look who’s running the country.
Here and now, this American can’t sleep because of the terrible bill that’s being rushed through Congress.

I think a better question is why can’t Americans elect people who will allow us to stop worrying and get some sleep?
Here are the rest of my images for this why-can’t-Americans-sleep? blog post.

Thanks to all those who understand why Americans can’t sleep, including YOU!

I don’t know, I sleep just fine. It’s important to remember that just because someone disagrees with you does not mean they hate you. If two people always agree, one of them is not necessary. 😉
Good to hear from you, Ray. I’m glad you’re well.

I sleep well, but a lot less hours than I’d like, Ann. Our cherished rescue mutt gets me up quite early.
I cherish you and your family, my friend.
Every great once in a while I have a sleepless night – had one a couple of nights ago- even though I take a couple swigs of Nyquil every night. Long time habit. But last night I fell asleep as usual and slept well for all 8 hours (I set an alarm), but woke after a familiar nightmare of trying to get somewhere but the landscape has all changed and is now nothing but marshy brush and where there were once highways there are now lanes of mud. May have been brought on by a John Ganz post that America is being altered so much that one day we may find that we live “somewhere else.”
I have anxiety dreams often where I can’t get where I want to, Barbara. Thanks for sharing.
I think it’s hard for people to sleep sometimes when thoughts take over and they can’t let them go
I’m with you, beth.
