Day 4512: Worst case scenarios

If you’ve paid attention to this daily blog, you may have noticed that I write about worst case scenarios and how our minds often expect them to come true.

I also write about how worst case scenarios often do not come true and how no matter how we prepare ourselves for the worst, outcomes are usually not what we expect.

After I wrote my first song, I quickly wrote a follow-up song called “Catastrophizing,” which was inspired by worst case scenarios about performing.

.

This past week, two worst case scenarios came true for me and guess what? I learned that I can survive my worst case scenarios with my best self intact, happy, and wiser, and that’s the best.

Are there any worst case scenarios in my images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for worst case scenarios on YouTube.

.

My worst case scenario for this post is that it doesn’t clearly convey my sincere thanks for everyone here, including YOU!

  1. I think my first favorite song was Old McDonald, Ann. I remember singing back Ee-eye-ee-eye-oh to my mom and aunt when I was really young.

  2. Ann, I am sorry that two worst case scenarios came true.fir you this week (and worried). I hope you and Michael and Aaron are okay

Ditto, Maureen. On worst case scenarios, none of mine have materialized in the way I imagined them – until perhaps recently? And even now, the dystopia I have always liked to imagine myself greeting with aplomb keeps retreating behind court orders to rehire, to refund, and to retain. Can this keep going for another 3+ years? I don’t know. And as an OWL (Old White Lady), I’m even unlikely to suffer the worst of what the First Felon and his minions throw at us. Perhaps to suffer at all. Do I feel left out? Well, sorta.

probably Jamaica Farewell. My father had it on a 78 ( I’m really dating myself here)
