Day 4364: A Big Deal

When I was a kid, my father got exasperated with my mother once and said, “I don’t understand why she has to make a big deal of such little things.”

Now that I am grown, I understand that many of us make big deals of little things, sometimes out of fear and anxiety, sometimes out of curiosity and joy.

What big deals do you see in today’s blog post?

.

To me, Joan the cat is a big deal, so here’s my latest TikTok video about her.

Here’s some choral music many people think is a big deal:

.

What’s a big deal to you?

Thanks to all who are a big deal to me, including YOU!!

Tried to reply to your chorus question last night, but X wasn’t taking replies (it wasn’t just yours). Anyway, yes on The Messiah, but double yes on the second vocal part, “Comfort Ye.” It might not be the year for Hallelujahs, but Comfort never goes out of style. That might even be a Big Deal! 🙂

  3. My cat enjoyed listening to you talk to (or about) Joan, and even answered you with a meow.

  4. Many years ago I was with a group singing “We Wish You A Merry Christmas”. Because I knew a couple of my friends in the group were Jewish I started singing the second half as “and a happy Hanukkah!” They joined me and soon others did too. It’s a big deal for me that everyone feels included.
