  1. Thanks to you too Anne! Great inspiring post!

  2. When it comes to words, there is always Mary Oliver. But I am also a big fan of poems like The Wasteland, and lately of prose by Kim Stanley Robinson, who in a novel I’m reading now has just coined the word Jarndycization. And because I read Dickens, I know what that means and was suitably delighted. That’s inspiring!

  3. Debbie Terman

I’m inspired by objects that are very colorful.

  4. art is at the heart of heart

  5. I think my favorite art, and the one that has an immediate effect, is music. But I love art in all forms. Creativity always inspires me and in these “dry and trying” times, we need more art. Joan knows this is true!

  6. I saw a photo of a wall on a cliff with a single empty window that looked out over the ocean. Someone drew an arrow pointing to the window and wrote “Free Rothko!” It was funny but I also find Rothko’s paintings hauntingly beautiful and it was a nice tribute.

  7. To polish up an old phrase, Ann, I know inspiring art when I see it.

  8. One of your quotes is, “We can always start again.” I am feeling the pluses and minuses of that today as I undertake an expensive and major bathroom restoration project that we did once before. One tip: always make sure that the toilet flange is installed at the right height!

I think you know all about bathroom restorations! And starting again. I hope that you are enjoying your beautiful new bathroom. And I’ve always wondered how you resolved your window covering issue.

  9. Art in many forms inspires me…. especially music. I love YoYo’s cello. I often ask “Alexa” to shuffle music by him and have it playing in the background as I go about my daily chores. Recently the artistic talent of photographer Tim Irwin inspired me to buy his book featuring photos of wildlife. The culinary talent of the chef at Nova’s in Bozeman, MT inspired me to stop for her eggs benedict yesterday. Yum!
