Day 3656: Why I still like Twitter

Despite its becoming Musk-y last year, I still like Twitter because of …

  • the wonderful people I keep encountering there,
  • humor,
  • fast breaking news,
  • like-minded politics,
  • answers to my many questions,
  • interesting photos,
  • the exchange of information,
  • supportiveness, and
  • cats!

Can you see why I still like Twitter in my images for today?

I still like how Twitter reacts to my posting to-do lists like that one.

I still like Twitter because I find out about talented artists like the late Kirsty MacColl:

Yes, I still like Twitter and I still like YOU!

  1. I never used twitter, but will get there with all the publicity, Donald Trump mainly, it seemed like a way of avoiding him was to avoid the platforms he used, sounds childish, but some people try to get into your head, and will use any outrage to make their mark, hope the new year brings great joy, thanks for all the comments, they are so protective to the heart, amen

  2. Glad you still use and like twitter! I don’t bother using it now. I did but I havent used it in a long time now. X

  3. I still use Twitter, too, for many of the reasons you do–replace cats with Olive and Mabel–and still find it useful. I have found it informative and fun and have never been in a fight with anyone. Still, I’ve been careful–no name, no contact info, etc. Most of the complaints about Twitter are people behaving badly, which they’d do anyway, but Twitter does amplify it. I keep hoping Musk turns it over to someone who knows how to run it (there are a few glitches in it now) and leaves it alone.

  4. I see why you like it for sure, many good things about it, just never really drew me in. my daughter connected my blog to it, but rarely go there. I say, whatever makes you happy makes me happy for you .)

  5. I don’t add much to Twitter, but I spend some portion of every day enjoying other people’s Tweets and dialogue. So many people are really clever, and quick! I love reading their responses, and I feel a connection, even if I’m rather hidden. I hope Twitter makes it. I’m not too thrilled with EM, but I’m hoping he doesn’t ruin the platform entirely. 🙂

  6. I’m glad it’s still filling your needs, Ann, that’s most important!
