If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words is today’s blog post worth?

In honor of All American Pet Photo Day, here’s a picture that’s worth more than a thousand words because it was taken by my husband Michael, whom Harley trusts and loves.

Here’s “Every Picture Tells a Story” by Rod Stewart.
Feel free to post pictures or words in the comments section below, because they’re all worth a lot to me.
Thanks to all who help me share pictures and words on this daily blog, including YOU.

Great shot of Harley!
I agree!
“You are a complete disappointment” is such a great title for a book that I am tempted to buy it without knowing anything more about it. I love how.l “complete” implies that the author was a success in that one thing. Please let me know how you like it
It was the title that grabbed me too, Maureen. I shall let you know.
💚 I downloaded the free sample and it was terrific, but it was also too brief to tell much about the rest of the book. So I’m curious! Sounds like a lucky find.
Question to everyone: When you donate books to a nearby little library, do you pick the ones you don’t like? Or the ones you love?
I donated two today — one I liked and one I loved.
I saw your comment that you donated 2 books, one you liked and one you loved. I can’t reply directly to that comment.
I so donate books that I like or love, and never books I don’t like unless they are very popular and there is a good chance that someone will be delighted to find it
As much as I love words and believe in their power I’ve always found that, while a picture may be worth a thousand words, a thousand words can never add up to a picture. Maybe that’s why, when a creative writing teacher said to me, “Show, don’t tell!” for what seemed like the thousandth time and I said, “Can you give me an example?” she told me to get out.
Your words are worth so much to us, Chris!
Each of your pictures grabbed me today, Ann. I love the children’s alphabet scrawl across the block wall, RBG’s quote and the “I Care, Don’t You?” coat. I’d sure be proud to wear that one. 🙂
I love all the words you’ve shared here, Debra.
I also like to look at it as ‘a word can be worth a thousand pictures.’ words are incredibly powerful and have the potential to conjure up unlimited images, unique to each person.
Very worthy point, beth!
