Day 2867: Waiting for election results

Waiting for election results, I might as well share my most recent images.

Waiting for election results, I just checked again and things look good, but inconclusive.

Waiting for election results, I know I am not alone.

Waiting for election results, I wonder how many sleepless nights I can stand.

Waiting for election results, I can’t ignore this:

Waiting for election results, I keep adding more people to my Twitter feed.

Waiting for election results, I realize I am holding my breath, so I try to breathe deeply.

Waiting for election results, I find the wonderful music somebody shared in my Coping and Healing group less than 12 hours ago..

Waiting for election results, I am going to express gratitude and publish this blog post.

  1. while i’m waiting, i wrote about waiting too. and one of things i was waiting for, was to read your new blog post and see your. hopeful pics.

  2. I may have had a nightmare about somebody with a fake tan complaining about a phony fraud, Ann.

  3. This is an interesting and unexpected collection of photos. I am considering each of them carefully, in the dark and under the blankets while listening to the latest election results on CBC radio. It is a cold morning.

By the way, the temperature in Quincy that you posted was the same temperature as our house yesterday.

  4. I am here, on the other coast, waiting with you Ann!

  5. By the way, today is the day our mail-in ballots will be counted in British Columbia, after our election of a couple of weeks ago.

  6. Ha! My mother was born and raised in Clayton County, Georgia. It’s near the Atlanta airport. Ironically, Clayton County, Georgia was the first place I ever saw a Klansman in robes and hood. So, this is fantastic on a lot of levels. I’m waiting here in Nashville. Hang in there!

  7. So difficult! I didn’t realise waiting was so exhausting.

Annn,it’s worth the wait…The senate race is looking good too.Do you know what a ” run-off ” is?

    • There are going to be two run off elections in Georgia, because nobody got more than 50% of the votes. The run off elections will be between the two top vote getters — a Republican and a Democrat. I’ve already donated money to the two Democrat contenders! Thanks, as always, for your comments.

Does a run off mean they have to debate again?

I know that much, I just wanted to know what the process of a run off entailed. I tried googling it, but could find the answer..

  9. I am not sure that link posted. Sorry! It was fun.

    • It did and it was brilliant. It also reminds me of the lines from the Epic of Gilgamesh:
He ran for three days and there was no light,
And he ran for three days and there was no light,
And he ran for three days and on the third day
      He could see light.

  10. I can’t find the exact quote but Peter Sagal said something like, “We’ve waited four years to get to this point and another four years just getting through this week.”
It’s been stressful but it feels good to be able to laugh about it.

  11. Harley is waiting for election results and the Nobel Prize. Harley has made outstanding contributions to the greatest benefit to humankind in the areas of Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, and Peace, and has been invited to the Nobel Banquet by the Swedish Academy.

    • Are you going to nominate Harley, Maria? It only takes one nomination so that he can brag about it, I hear.

      • Yes, he was already nominated in Medicine, Literature, and Peace, but Oscar was a recipient posthumously.

  12. This week has been excruciating and I have steered clear of the news as much as possible, but this morning I peeked and it looks as though the tide may finally be turning in our direction. Fingers crossed….Remember, good things come to those who wait…😊

  13. I have not relaxed yet. Will exhale when the EC is confirmed.
