Day 5038: What I Can’t Find

Here and now, I can’t find the shirt I wanted to wear when I co-lead a workshop about Balint Groups at a conference today.

I don’t believe in ghosts, but I can’t find any other explanation of where that shirt might be.

There other things I can’t find, including

  • faith in government,
  • enthusiasm for things I don’t want to do, and
  • a good Mexican restaurant nearby.

What I can find are these images for today’s blog.

I can’t find a reason to participate in this study, even though I am living with atrial fibrillation/flutter.
At a team-building exercise at work yesterday, other people couldn’t find as many ways to fill in these circles.

I can always find cats, thank goodness.
I can’t find mac and cheese at the hospital cafeteria unless I’m there on a Friday.
I can’t find an explanation for this, but who cares?

.

Honestly, I can’t find the capacity to outrun anything these days.

However, I can find this video of my singing the song I wrote about Balint groups, which I’ll probably perform today if we can find the time.

.

I can’t find the words to express my gratitude to you, so this will have to do.

  1. beth

i’ve grown into not worrying about what i can’t find, unless it is extremely important, and try to find an alternative. it always seems to turn up unexpectedly later, when i’ve let the worry go and just surreneded to it not wanting to be found at that time. i suspect the girl group is some kind of bonding experience. we had college kids all over out town last week, dressed as bananas and having a great time. the uni set it up as a kick off to the school year and bonding experience.

  2. No Kings today. I plan to protest with the Silver Badgers for an hour this afternoon. I HOPE I can find my walker and sign still somewhere in my car, which my daughter has been using for a couple of weeks. Don’t remember seeing the walker in the boot when I loaded in the groceries yesterday. Hmmmm.
