  1. Getting together with the family is still a comfort, Ann.

Writing about it. A new post in the Bookhouse is going up in a couple of days. This one is not, alas, full of comfort. In the meantime, my favorite (okay, she will remind me that she’s my only) daughter turns 50 today. I still think she’s 18. I remain extremely proud of her and the human she has become/is still becoming. So much she has accomplished already!

  3. home and family and friends

  4. I find comfort in routine but I also like surprises and events that disrupt my routine. It gives me comfort to think that I contain multitudes.

  5. I think my comfort in uncomfortable times, although I rethink that most nights when she starts wailing inconsolably around 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning. I always get up and offer her food and water and comfort. I guess she doesn’t find me as comforting as I find her.
