Day 4368: Bad Movies

At this point, life can seem like a bad movie. That’s why I’m watching movies these days rather than the news. However, bad news keeps happening, no matter how many movies I watch.

.

Last night, after yet another school shooting in the USA, I asked a question about bad movies.

.

Do you see any aspects of bad movies in my other images for today?

.

On Clean Air Day, I believe that the next US administration’s bad moves on the environment are going to be like a bad movie.

Here’s what I find when I search for “bad movies” on YouTube.

.

Thanks to all who help me get through the bad movies of life, including YOU!

I tell folks I’m getting through these days that play like a bad movie by pretending that I’m a bit player in a bad dystopian movie, which is more real than trying to be a citizen in TFG’s next four years. At least this way I can practice snappy comebacks to the jack boots who knock on my door looking for illegal aliens – not likely, but nice to have on hand. Keeping my Kamala/Walz sign up in my window, waiting to be arrested for treason – also not likely, but feels a little brave anyway. Posting snippets from MSNBC, waiting to be sued for libel – again bordering on the impossible, but feels as if I’m doing my part in the resistance. You do what you can do.

  2. I kind of enjoy the occasional bad movie, just don’t want to live one)

  3. It’s a funny coincidence that today I had a funny debate with a friend about whether “Gremlins” is a Christmas movie. Some people also debate whether it’s a bad movie, but we agreed that one of my favorite actors, Dick Miller, is great in it.

  4. I’m watching a movie right now!

  5. Way, way back I confessed to a great friend that I liked going to the movies so much you could say that I was a fan of flickering images. He still throws that term back at me, 40 years later, when we’re discussing which movies we like or don’t.
