I like following up yesterday’s post — titled “Where and When” — with this phrase I’ve heard many times from my husband Michael: “It’s not where you are, it’s who you’re with. “
No matter where I am, I’m so grateful to be with:
- Michael,
- my son Aaron,
- my late parents, through my memories,
- my ex-husband Leon and his family,
- my wonderfully supportive friends,
- my helpful co-workers,
- my inspiring patients,
- my doctors and my dentist (who reads this blog every day),
- my therapist,
- my followers on WordPress and Twitter (including YOU!),
- cats, and
- all those who appear in today’s images.

It’s not where you are, it’s who you’re with, and I’m glad to be anywhere with the Daily Bitch.
This is the first thing that comes up on YouTube when I search for “it’s not where you are, it’s who you’re with.”
Thanks to all who are with me, here and now, including YOU!

You are with many fantastic people, Ann.
Including you, my friend!
I have to agree with Michael and your title for this post.
Of course, I read it every day!!, and I’m going to answer your tweeter question since I found it fascinating, I have several favorites: Calvin and Hobbes, Tintin, Asterix and Obelix, and a Spanish one called Mortadelo y Filemon (not sure if it was ever printed in English)
Joan is such an explorer! A busy walk probably calls for a nap in the bathroom sink afterward!
You have a lot of wonderful people in your life and you celebrate them so beautifully!
I’m happy to be here and happy you are too. I’m also happy that this weekend I took time to watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which took me and my favorite superhero to some wonderfully unexpected places.
well, it’s not a comic book per se, but my all time fav cartoon is ‘the far side.’ it never fails to make me laugh out loud. happy to be here and see you happy.
That’s so true.. Happy birthday to Leon.
So true
love that quote!!
Love to see you here, Lisa!
I was travelling across the border on the pre-dawn bus yesterday and couldn’t open your post. Glad to be able to read it now. Good luck this week, Ann!
