Lately, I’ve been asking many questions about favorites on Twitter, including these:

A random thought about favorites: I haven’t had to worry about playing favorites with my children because I have only one child. Here’s one of my favorite photos of me and Aaron, taken years ago with Emo Philips, who was the opening act for Weird Al last night:

Do you see favorites in my other images for today?

There are so many National Days today that it’s difficult to pick a favorite. One of my favorite moments from Emo’s set last night was when he asked the crowd to help record a message wishing his friend Red, who is a jockey riding in the Kentucky Derby today, good luck. It was definitely my favorite use of a cell phone at the concert last night.
Here’s my favorite Weird Al song, in the style of Frank Zappa (who is also a favorite).
What’s your favorite part of this post? My favorite part is always the end, when I get to express my gratitude for all who help me blog every day, including YOU.

My three favourite Weird Al Yankovic songs are “White and Nerdy,” “Living in an Amish Paradise” and “Smells like Nirvana.”
Thanks for sharing your favorites, Maureen! 💕
Your blog is one of my favorites, and I’m so jealous you went to see weird Al!!
You’re one of my favorites and Weird Al is so great in concert! Try to catch him next time.
Homer Simpson said, “When a man is tired of Weird Al he is tired of life.” So for me naming a favorite Weird Al song is like naming a favorite food. What am I in the mood for? Should I go with an old favorite or try something new, or a new twist on something old? It’s also very funny to me that Al told Val Kilmer that “Top Secret” was his favorite film and Kilmer replied, “Really? That one?”
At least I know what my favorite Emo Philips joke is: “I once posed nude for a magazine. Well, the guy also gave me some money.”
Thanks to one of my favorite bloggers! 💕
Today is World Naked Gardening Day, one of my favourite days. I hope you found time to partake!
I missed it!
Perhaps just as well!
I enjoyed browsing through your posted little free library. Nice to see Annie Dillard in there with Jewish Bioethics.
I noticed those too!
I don’t really do favourites, but I do like the “Pro Life” message
I liked that too, Derrick.
love your family pic with emo, didn’t know Joan was taking up piano or is she just the boss of it? my fav weird al song – eat it!
Joan is the boss of everything and so are you, beth!
as I suspected! and I can’t even compete –
National Paste-Up Day certainly brings me back to newspaper deadlines and back shops, Ann.
I assume that was a favorite time for you, my friend!
They were quite formative, as I think back to newspapers were I actually handled the waxed strips of type or at the very least had to OK the pages after somebody else followed layout pages I had drawn with me looking over their shoulder … yes, that was a favorite time.
Glad you had fun seeing weird al! i’d love to see him live!
I’ve seen him live twice and he puts on the best shows!
