You don’t have to be in the dark about the title for today’s blog post. Yesterday, when I was at Tufts Medical Center, I saw this:

You don’t have to be big, strong, or good, as I learned from Mary Oliver’s poem “Wild Geese.”

You don’t have to be anything, right now, and I hope you enjoy the rest of my images for today. (You don’t have to be a cat lover to enjoy them, but it helps).

.
You don’t have to be nice to everyone, says the Daily Bitch.
You don’t have to be listening to one of my favorite albums when I was a kid, “You Don’t Have to be Jewish.”
.
You don’t have to be leaving a comment about this post; I’m just grateful you’re here!

I fancy Merrell mocs in the winter, Ann, and Skechers/Oofos slip-ones alternating in the warm months. Years ago I pledged to only wear tie shoes when I’m golfing or bowling.
Thanks for the shoe business report, Mark!
I have a friend who used to paint shoes for a living. I wrote her into a short story, making some of these up: “flower gardens on pumps and flats and tennis shoes, jelly beans on a ballet slipper, an aquarium on a wedgie, a beach scene on a Ked, and trailing vines on some stilettos, an Escher stairway on others…”
And @Cindy-Be KIND, are those Boggs boots? I have a pair with blue ferns and berries.
Thanks for sharing, Barbara.
I don’t think I have to be Jewish to wish you a happy Hanukkah! I completely forgot that it starts tonight, but part of the beauty of it is it lasts eight days.
Thanks for making so many people happy, Chris!
love that poem and my fav shoes are any of my Birkenstock sandals!
Love your comments, beth!
I saw this old post, and it made me smile! Thanks for your daily posts, Anne! And now I’m off for my therapy session! Xoxo
