I’m here, now, which is in Amsterdam, at the start of a river cruise. It’s going to take me a little while to get my bearings.

I don’t have to phone in sick on Phone in Sick Day because I’m on vacation! And even though I’m not a frequent flyer, I fly often enough to have flown on frequent flyer day.
When I first published this blog post, the Daily Bitch was probably wondering “Where am I?” She was in my suitcase but now she’s here!

I was happy to see that you also seem to like window seats and taking photos from the windows of the plane. I didn’t go to Germany or the low countries when I was in Europe, so I will travel along with you vicariously as you go and share those photos.
I’ve found on several occasions that the best thing to read while traveling is Virginia Woolf’s Orlando because its hero travels widely but in the process realizes they are not one person but are constantly shifting, always becoming someone new, which may be why they live at least four centuries.
